Train commute from York to Leeds: what's the cheapest deal?

Hi there everyone!
I will move to York in a couple of weeks, and I was trying to figure out the cheapest way to commute to Leeds via train. I'm used to commute within West Yorkshire - using the Mcard - but since York is North Yorkshire, that option is no longer available.
I can get an annual corporate season ticket, probably the one that allows travel via any permitted route, not just with Northern, but I was wondering if there was any other option that might end up being cheaper, based on your experience?
Thank you for your help
