Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark wet start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner was use up again of fridge contents, chicken, gammon, chips and coleslaw for menfolk, I had chicken, gammon and rice.
Work wasn't too bad yesterday, last day of this big event today, please to see the back of it, early finish day for me too.
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone - it's a wet start to the day here.
Thank you for starting us off nmlc.
I'm off to the hairdressers this morning.10 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Seems colder this morning, as forecast. That was a nice picture you posted yesterday Gers.Hope work is ok Camelot, I'm glad I don't have to go to work anymore.DP1, I hope your Dgd is all right.Taff, hope you get your car window fixed, and it doesn't cost too much. Our car is going in for MOT this morning, it's an old Honda, biggish, but we need a big car to tow the caravan. It needed work doing last year, but it's worth while.Topsy, your neighbour sounds really lovely.Did you have a good morning out yesterday TA, I hope so.It's good to meet up with friends - there are a few coffee places in our little town, and I frequent some of them with various friends. They are usually full of chattering groups of ladies, as is Do*bies, a short bus ride away..Those cakes sound nice Snoozer..Not a lot going on today, apart from the car, as I mentioned. One of my nephews is coming over with his wife on Saturday evening for a meal, I might browse my recipes for ideas..It'll be good to see them, haven't seen them for a while.Thinking of our poorly people, take care folks.13

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A sunny day forecast for us but the temps are gradually dropping again after the mild spell. I hope they are wrong about another beast from the east coming to visit.
I had a good but tiring day out yesterday at Boundary Mill. The buses co-operated and despite one or two running a bit late we managed to stick to our transport schedule! I didn't come home too laden thankfully. I got a couple of T shirts in the M & S outlet and another, plus a pair of black trousers, from the Under £10 reductions in another outlet. And that, apart from one or two good reductions from Radley for my gift stash, was my lot.
Today I have an Ocado delivery due and an e-mail tells me I have no subs or out of stock. Seeing the f & v empty shelves on the news I was surprised to be getting what I ordered!
My neighbour popped round when I got home to tell me the chappie coming to do the joint job for us was coming at short notice today! So I need to pop down town at some point for my share of the cost. I hadn't accounted for that this month so I will need to transfer it online before I go down.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning. It's a very chilly start to the day, 0° just now. The silver lining to that was having a sky full of twinkling stars last night.Yesterday was a glorious day, bright blue skies with a nippy wind to remind me that it was still February. The morning drive down to Glasgow was slow'ish, lots of big lorries and a run of log wagons didn't help. My hygienist appointment was fine and then a late breakfast with Alan was so good. Driving home was even more glorious, all, the lochs were sparkling blue and still. Somehow the weeks and months of dreich (rather than dour 😀) are forgotten when the sun comes out play properly. The only thing I bought was a Radio Times and a bun.Today I'm going into town for an appointment and then I may well visit my elderly neighbour on the way back. I can move much easier now with intermittent flashes of pain to remind of my aching body.Food is sorted. I'm using up some pouches of microwave rice which I've accumulated. Fried up with veggies and shredded chicken it only takes minutes to cook.TA - great shopping.Scarlet - 🤞 for the car passing.Happy Thursday to all.12

Morning all
Much colder here today but no rain which is something. I am off to collect my private client today and we are going on a trip with his work to a lifeboat station it should be good and he will enjoy it, we will go back to work at lunchtime and leave shortly after to do some shopping I will see if his elderly mum wants anything.
Chicken Parmesan for dinner tonight with some garlic potatoes and veg, will do some prep before I go this morning.
WM is on but it will have to be hung on the airer again.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all, I'm up early for a change, unfortunately it was the pain in my sinuses that made me get up. I also have another black eye but at least I know what it is this time and thankfully I don't need to go out today as I look a sight.
Yesterday was spent going through finances with Mr Fix It. He loves a spreadsheet, but not me, give me my brain, a pen and some paper, anything to keep my few braincells working !
Today I'm umming about doing some washing and hanging it outside, but it's rather cloudy with a blustery wind and I'm not sure it will dry. I need help to hang DD's painting above the fireplace too, I can't reach or I'd do it myself. There are other small jobs awaiting my attention and then a new jigsaw to look forward to as I finished my other one yesterday.
Have a good day all. Fingers crossed for the old jalopy Scarlet. Hugs to everyone in need.
Take care stay safe and warm.

Morning everyone
Nice bright morning here but cold. I'm going to get my hair cut this morning - it's not actually too bad but it'll tidy me up. I usually go every school holidays - so every 6 or 7 weeks. This afternoon I'm going with my friend for hot chocolate and cake...haven't seen her for a while so I'm looking forward to it.
I'll leave it there as my hands are sore this morning - hope everyone has a good day today x10 -

Morning...Bright but grey, I hear the dulcet tones of the green bin truck coming, good job, it's full again with the bay tree clippings and the last of the chopped up tree from over the road. I was going to keep it to burn but in the end, it was easier to get rid of it. Finished the shelving in the garage yesterday, everything is either now on the slevles neatly, or looking neatly piled [ahem...] in the rest of it, or slid into the ceiling supports [planks of wood etc] . The window seal didn't take long, less than five minutes and I got to play with a spaniel while I was there, so cute! Didn't cost me anything, it was just a job to be finished after the insurance fixed it. Today is tip, OHs mums for a quick stop to drop things off [ my decluttering foisting knows no bounds, I even gave the neighbour two fold down boxes yesterday while he was DIYing his house] and the post office to return the yarn bowl. It's like sandpaper on the inside, what fool thought it was right for it to be shiny on the outside but not on the inside? So stuff that, I'm going over to the pottery place over the road and ask if they can make me one. There are quite a few little independent shops in my part of town, might as well support them...It's actually very similar to living in Roath when I lived there, except a little bit seedier and a lot smaller...TA, yes, it's coming back here for about ten days but mostly at night according to the temp figures...Don't worry, quick cold snap, then summer! Or something...Gers, THAT'S the word....dour is for people...healing well then! Scarlet, fingers crossed for the MOT on yours..Chattering groups of ladies makes the word go round
nanny, that happens to OHs mum quite a bit, usually eye infections prompt it..Happy new jigsaw! and I saw what you did there...crochet..grips...arf arf
snoozer, hope you're not buried under cake mountain! topsy, fingers crossed...bella, glad to see you back
carolbee, have a nice holiday! Ruby, ooo, that sounds really interesting too, enjoy the day out
Take care all, the well and the unwell....
