I took early retirement last year,  on the gov.uk website it is stated that I have 44 years of full contributions NI and have 6 years to contribute before 5 April 2028.  What should I do?

Have you done a State Pension Forecast to see how much you will get?

Do you need to pay another 6 years?

Well the sensible thing would be to check your State Pension forecast to see what pension you have actually accrued so far (not the headline figure)

Without knowing that you wouldn't know if making voluntary contributions was worthwhile for pension purposes.
