£200
Will stick with £200 again as still eating quite a lot of HM ready meals from the freezer as trying to run it down before our holiday mid April.

Hello & thank you, @elsiepac; I'm going to try for
£500
in March, please. For us it's a 4-week month as next payday is 31st, and I'll be feeding 5 adults (plus occasional guests) for most, but not all, of it. 3 different diets going on, 3 x omnivores & 2 pescatarians, but I'm still recovering from major gut issues & surgery & need a high proportion of fruit, veg, nuts, seeds & herbs. (Not to mention fermented foods, but I make most of those myself.) Last year was a bit of a write-off on the allotment; I lost most of my winter veg to the severe frosts & various pests - rabbits, rats, pigeons & pheasants - so don't have much to look forward to this spring, bar a few pencil-sized leeks and a bit of perpetual spinach. But I'm working on this year's produce already & will make sure it's better defended!

Off the blocks with a £26 spend today - got fruit and veg plus some tinned tomatoes as I only had one tin left! 😳 More veg than normal as I'm doing a Sunday roast for the kids but I shouldn't need any more through the week - also bought a couple of treats for my grandbaby as I've got him for the weekend 😍

I’ve half-heartedly joined this challenge a few times but can I join properly for March?I’m budgeting £500 for 2 adults and 2 kids (altho the kids are growing weeds who play a lot of sport and so eat adult sized portions). This covers all food - breakfast, lunch/packed lunches, dinners and snacks for all 4 of us, with the exception of 2 school lunches on Fridays. The budget also covers cleaning products, alcohol and cat food.Books read 2023 - 49/759

Hello @elsiepac thank you so much for running this challenge again for March. I love reading everyone's updates, and it is certainly keeping me aware of what I am spending!
For March, my plan is to slightly lower the budget again to £400. I am going into March with two full freezers, two full shelving units and full cupboards.
My plan is £85 a week for the first three weeks, which will then trigger the 10% of voucher for l!dl. Then week 4 (or 5 if I can stretch what we have in!) I will spend the rest of the budget, and get extra for April, like I have done this month. All in theory, let's see how we go!So declaring our goal to be £400 for March! Two adults, two teens.
