There are numerous genuine online raffles going around in Facebook, as the organisers realise the entries easily pay for the prize and make a tidy profit.
Whilst the tickets online are often expensive, there's usually a loophole to enter via post at the cost of a stamp.
But if a postal entry requires you to add not only name, address telephone number and email address, but also date of birth.. all in full view of anyone who might see it, then is that a security risk? And are there other rules/laws which limit what these organisations can ask for to protect the entrants?

The itv ones & channel 5 only ask for name & number.
might get more replies if you asked in the chat tab0 -
Their aim is probably to get as few postal entries as possible - if it is info the paid entries require then it is definitely not an issue and may not be anyway.0
