Remain Away from Nest Pensions

Remain away from Nest Pensions. I changed jobs and requested them to transfer workplace pension to another provider as permitted by law. They refused saying, 'Account is not closed and past employer still paying'. This payment had already stopped on 7 Oct 2022. I called up, 'they said it is possible only through electronic system'. Even when the request was sent through electronic system again in January, they said NO. The reason' Account not closed when past employer was still paying'. They said call up. I called and they said 'Our position has not changed, there is nothing to add.' I wrote to the Pension regulator, Pension Ombudsman but they all took me to the process and bureaucratic answers but no help. They may investigate but they will neither inform you of investigation nor about the results! All opaqueness and no transparency in this industry unfortunately. NEST are the worst. If you want to complain, they give you a space of 60 characters or 12 words to explain. Basically they don't want you to complain. WORST DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE! NEVER EVER NEST PENSIONS! Money is mine, data is mine but they would not transfer. If earlier employer has not communicated , write to them and confirm the same but that they will no do as they want to keep the money and not transfer!
I am considering going to the courts for helping me out. Any other suggestions from anyone.

Can you ask your former employer to contact Nest to inform them you have left their employ and no further monies will be sent.
There could be a tech blip with your old employer still paying in without realising.
Have you opened a new pension with another company and asked them to set the transfer process in motion.
just some thoughts, I know very little about pensions0 -
I changed jobs and requested them to transfer workplace pension to another provider as permitted by law.The law also prevents active workplace pensions from being transferred. They refused saying, 'Account is not closed and past employer still paying'.Not an uncommon issue. It is a failure by your former employer to notify Nest that you are no longer an active member.Even when the request was sent through electronic system again in January, they said NO.This means the employer has not done it correctly (or done it at all). I have seen this a number of times and its the employer that controls the submissions. Not the pension provider.unfortunately. NEST are the worstNo they are not. Not even close.WORST DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE I MADE! NEVER EVER NEST PENSIONS!Although, its almost certainly your former employer that is making the mistake.Money is mine, data is mine but they would not transfer. As the law prevents them from doing so.I am considering going to the courts for helping me out. Any other suggestions from anyone.May be sensible for you to blame the right party first otherwise it will end up a costly mistake on your part.
Your former employer payroll team needs to do it online. The minute it is done correctly, it will update you as an inactive member and nest can then transfer it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
