Hi 
I started working self employed in August 22 and stupidly thought I had till October this year to register as a sole trader now I think I may have made a big mistake!!! What should I do now don’t want to contact HMRC and make things worse. Any advise appreciated

Not sure what has swayed your opinion. You must indeed register as self-employed by 5th October this year - 2023.
