It was more about the fact that couple months ago rates were pretty high and expectations were they will drop but difficult to say when and next 2-3yrs will be difficult ones. I just wanted to avoid paying another £999 for another tracker whilst waiting for rates to drop.0

just an opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if your typical 2/3 years fixed mortgage will go back down to under 3% by the end of the year. improvements are starting to trickle down and I think we'll see very cheap energy in 2-3 years time, where gas will be virtually "free".0
