Tax back on mobile handset

in Cutting tax
I currently do some part time work for which I'm self employed. I'm considering purchasing a mobile phone for around £800 and was wondering if I could claim tax back against the cost of the handset? This would just be for the phone itself as I have a separate airtime contract. The mobile would be for both business and personal use.

You can claim the business proportion of the phone, so if it was used half for your business and half for other purposes, you could claim half the cost.1
