Insta Ban

I get really frustrated with the bans on Instagram given that a huge majority of the competitions are now on there.

Does anybody have any hints/tips for trying to avoid this? I do try not to tag too many people on one comp - if it allows multiple entries then I try to limit it to 3 - do you think this is too many? 

I also find it really frustrating that they don't give you a time period so you just have to keep trying (and I worry that everytime I try, the ban gets longer, but I don't know if that's actually a thing!).

I limit to 4 and haven't been banned (yet). 

However my IG account is also my main one and I DM my friends on there, like people's posts and interact with posts other than comping. I would suggest doing that if you can.

Also when you're tagging it may help to add some words after the tag so it doesn't look like you're tagging over and over as that may flag as spam to the algorithm.

try to do an insta comp then a different entry one (to give time between) Myself and tagging friends all got blocked during the mad advent comps. I message them (am not polite) as i tell them that they let the competition posters put on "tag all your friends etc" so not fair of them to block us when we do as asked.

I always add a bunch of emojis after tagging someone and vary them as much as possible. I've a limited number of Instagram friends (gleaned from here before we were banned from sharing names - thanks to all who suffer my constant tagging) and try not to use the same ones all the time. General idea is to ensure the Insta algorithms don't pick up multiple similar comments in a short space of time.

Thanks so much for the tips - I think an issue is possibly that I'm tagging the same pool of people over and over again- and I do usually add an emoji but I don't really vary this much and don't often write a comment, so I think there is definitely something in that too. 

When they eventually lift the ban I will try to shake it up a bit
