Fidelity have been running a generous transfer offer several times a year for at least 6 years probably longer.ex-pat_scot said:The Fidelity seems to have a good, but curiously-stepped arrangement
I Rather suspect that there's no immediate rush - perhaps a revisit in the New Year. Keen to take advantage though.

So.... coming back to the HL 'invitation only' offer... this is very interesting....
Because I'd signed up to the offer anyway through the link that @michaels posted, and got a positive confirmation back, I sent a message to them asking if I could still be eligible, despite the specific T&Cs referring to needing to be invited AND already have a SIPP open...
And I have an unequivocal confirmation back that I will be eligible because they are running a parallel promotion for anyone opening a new SIPP!
Now obviously I am not recommending anyone else goes down this route on my say so. But I'm going to go for it anyway. I need to move some money, and the fees will be less in ETFs with HL than where it's right now, so no real risk. Let's see how it goes.2 -
I think it is more like twice a year, but each one stays open for quite a long time ( 10 weeks ?)Alexland said:

Thanks for this. The Fidelity Transfer Offer does seem generous and I intend to take advantage of this as the fees for ETF trading only seems cheaper than my current provider. The only thing I am not sure of is the FX fees for buying funds that although are bought/sold in GBP, may still charge for USD fx fees. I will have to monitor the FX fees to see if this is truly cost effective overall per year, or not.Albermarle said:

Ditto, and although my old SIPP with them was transferred out and closed, it still shows up on their app, alongside the new one I set up for the last transfer cashback bonus. And I'm now also using it for the current one.michaels said:I have had fidelity in the past, are these offers generally a one shot thing?
So no, their terms have not made it a one shot deal, at least up till now.2 -
I transferred my ISA from Fidelity to HL a couple of years ago , for a £1000. Then once the 12 months was up I transferred it back to Fidelity for another £1000 with no issue. Maybe if you keep doing it, they would block you at some point.michaels said:I have had fidelity in the past, are these offers generally a one shot thing?

I could well end up being the canary in that particular coal mine...Albermarle said:

I've had 2 Fidelity switch bonuses before, also getting my 3rd payout next month (from a Sept-Nov switch offer, from a smaller pot) and 4th in process (from this latest one)
HL I've had 2 S&S ISA and 3 SIPP (1 main pot, 2 small pot) switch offers completed2
