Quick question on going on the tube with kids. I understand that my 3 and 5 year old can travel for free with a paying adult, but how does it that working in practice?
Do I just tap myself in and walk through the barriers with them, or do you have to go through one of the manned gates?
Not sure if they have sensors that stop more than one person going through the gates at once or anything like that.

Go through the wider accessible gates, usually at one end of the gate line.
Don't try the normal gate as they will close even if a person is in there.
