TopCashback 100,000 Instant Prizes Hummingbird question

I have clicked many times over the last few days on the various links given by other helpful compers where they have found the hummingbird at that link.  Only once did the hummingbird appear - and the symbol I got was different to that given by the other comper, which made it feel more coincidental rather than the link being a specific winner.

I have found the hummingbird at a random place and posted it.  

But it's made me start to wonder if the competition is actually working on a random 'Winning Moment' setup, rather than on specific links  (apart from their specific one-a-day 'Clues')?

Or are other people having success clicking on recommended links?  Any thoughts?

I think the general consensus from previous hummingbird comps is that the bird appears randomly, not on any specific page except for the Daily Clue page. It can be helpful to copy/paste links from those who find a bird but that does not mean a bird will appear for you, just saves scrolling through the Topcashback site.

Thank you @pate-ci0 - this is what I have suspected but couldn't see anything about it on the forums. 

And it has been driving me mad clicking on all these various links, and not seeing that stooooooopid bird anywhere!!

You can get a random and then collect the daily clue immediately but generally not the other way round

And I've definitely found that I needed to give it quite some while after getting one, before another will appear.

@Joolski only the daily clue bird should appear for everyone.
You should be able to get a random bird on random pages throughout the day, often around 30 minutes of each other.
Some people will get a bird on the same page if posted by others, but not always.

It helps to post the links though as you can press Command and the links and they should all open in lots of different tabs (on a computer/laptop) then loads of pages open at once and you can quickly switch through them all, when the banner appear at the bottom of the screen a bird will appear from the left or not, then move to the next tab.

Don't forget to go to click the banner, go to 'My Prizeboard' scroll to the bottom and share on Facebook and/or Twitter once only for 5 extra entries on each social media account.

Then under your email address there should be a box that says 'Display Skimlinks?' make sure that box isn't ticked.

I've often got a bird on a link someone posted, even if it is random, sometimes some people seem to get it at the same time.
There are usually certain pages, birds seem to appear more on. 
Whether that is true or not again.

I certainly feel that there are more popular pages for them to appear on, but if you want a regular bird, roughly check every 25-35 minutes.

Thanks @Ms_Dee - very helpful to know the apx 30 minute timeline.  I was trying to work out if there was some kind of 'pattern' (eg: a certain amount of links clicked on for example) before another bird appears.  I had realised that there was a definite gap before another one would appear, so to know it's around 30 mins is useful.

I guess I had just assumed that because people were posting links (which I did too),  that they would lead directly to a hummingbird. It only slowly dawned on me that it was far more random than that!

I never bothered to do this comp in past years.  I'm beginning to think that was probably wise - I've spent far too long on that site today!!! 😁😁😁

That question I can't help you with as I often come back and look even if I've claimed 10p or 20p 😂 
But the more entries the more chances you'll get to win the £1000, but it only takes 1 entry.
I usually don't do Mag dailies every day or click to wins as it uses loads of time when I could be entering more competitions for higher chances. But the bird draws me in 😆
