Hi all,

I am considering requesting consent to let for my house. I am 10 months into a 5 year fix with Santander. I couldn't see anything about how long permission is normally granted for? Are they likely to agree until the end of the fixed term? Thanks

'Long term' Lenders do not like.

They are usually amenable to grant consent for a year of two, if, for example, you are working away.

At the end of that granted period they rarely follow up.

I had consent to let from Santander. At the end of my fix ( I was a year into a 5 year fix when I asked for consent to let) they automatically transferred the mortgage to a Buy To Let when I told them I wanted to let it long term.
