Realistically what do you expect the outcome of the complaint should be? That you are prioritised over the other customers that havent complained yet?

As you say, you can choose your own garage but the big downside is it requires special approval of the works -v- their network repairers where there is often delegated authority, routine visits and the tech to streamline processes. Sounds like there is a backlog in the engineering team but hopefully it'll be cleared soon.
