Supplies and process of wisdom tooth removal

Hello all,

I'm asking this question for someone in Cuba (Cuban) who is in a lot of pain with a wisdom tooth infection. He hasn't had it removed yet as nobody has any anaesthetic right now! I have told him to look for a very good dentist as although any dentist will remove it for a backhander I'd like him to come away from it as unscathed as possible! I'm very worried as I doubt there'll be a working x-ray machine, gloves or sanitary conditions. But having said that isn't it common for humans to need them removing at some point? I haven't had them removed myself. I'm very very worried though. Will ask him to try to source some gloves. Qué pesadilla! Please advise if you can.
