Hi
Our council tax has been increased due to improvements carried out by the previous owner. This happened 2 years after we bought the house. Is there a time limit council's have to increase the band after the sale.goes through?
Thanks

It is not the council that increase the CT band, it is the Valuation Office Agency (Eng and Wales) or the Assessor (Scot).
There is no time limit, a CT band can be changed at any time.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
