How long does it take for voluntary NI payments to show on record

  • I will wait until April then give them a call when things have calmed down - assuming it hasn't been updated by then

    what phone no do you ring to get them allocating payments ? 0300 200 3500 ?
    paid via online banking a few weeks back, but as pension is due late march was told be HMRC guy (who gave me 18 digit code) to ring after few weeks as I needed to get funds allocated as pension due in 2 months

    I haven't called yet but that's the number I would ring

    Why is that the wrong number?  It is the HMRC NIC contact number so they can tell you the position.  I called this week and had to wait for 1 hour to get through

    just been on the phone (0300 number)
    took an hour to get answered, then took just couple of mins to go though, 
    hopefully my funds will be allocated over night

    paid the extra payments 2 weeks ago, phoned the 0300 number this morning to confirm my payment has been recieved, and its updated my forecast this afternoon, 
    only chased my payment up as my pension is due to start next month
    both times I've rung once i got to speak to someone everything went smoothly, just took an hour each time to get though
