Remortgaging question

Hi
We are in the process of remortgaging which we started in September last year. We have an offer from Lloyds, who at the time were cheapest.
However our current lender (First Direct) has dropped their rates such that they are now cheaper. Can be get an offer from FD? If so, do we "cancel" with Lloyds?

You'll have to. Otherwise you'll face any ERCs attaching to the new product if it starts before your remortgage completes.I am a mortgage broker.
