Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark, frosty and foggy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's from roast, tonight will be jacket potatoes, cheese, beans, hot quiche and anything from the fridge that needs using up.
Work busy but ok. Next week will be the big and hectic one - not looking forward to it at all.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Cold and very frosty here heating has had to go on for a few hours.
Three guests coming today, I love Tuesdays as all three are up for anything! All are happy to get dressed up and go for a long walk or bowling or cinema anything really which makes my life easier ! We had a good day yesterday but I was shattered at the end of it !
Sausages for dinner tonight with cheesy bean pie, nice and simple and warming on a cold day.
Need to run the hoover round this morning, I have a wash on the go which can be put on the airer.
Have good days all xx12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.There's a heavy frost here, I thought it was going to be mild this week.I haven't posted for a few days, haven't felt very well, but ok now.Not a lot on today except the Residents' Association meeting this morning, and the quiz tonight,Coxy, I reluctantly cancelled our milk deliveries last year, I now buy a 6 pint bottle from the supermarket, put 2 pints in a leakproof jug for the fridge, and freeze the rest in 1 pint capacity plastic boxes. That seems to work for us, we use about a pint a day.It was because on Fridays, when 3 pints were delivered, sometimes it was taken by someone, always on a Friday. We were also paying the milkman for them, We thought enough was enough, after it happened a few times. Our front street is quite busy because it leads to our little town centre and we thought that someone going past regularly early on a Friday morning was using us as their milkman. It seems strange because you wouldn't imagine that slippery glass mik bottles are the most convenient things to carry, particularly when there were 3..Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of our poorly people.Take care folks.13

Morning All
Dry but overcast at the moment, we're due some rain later. Thankfully got all the washing almost dried outside yesterday, it just needed airing by the fire for a while.
Lovely day with DD and the little one yesterday, little one scooted to the park and back, she's getting better at the corners on the scooter now. She played on the swings and slide for a while and threw sticks in the little stream - not sure if I enjoyed it more than she did!
There was a meeting at the local community centre last night regarding a new wind farm that has been proposed, I'm all in favour but many are not, some were not well informed at all and some only focused on the negatives. It made for quite an entertaining hour or so.
Hope your new DW is up and running Gers.
Sorry you've not been well Scarlet.
Thinking of the poorlies and those struggling. Hope you're ok Nelski and Nanny.
Shopping today at the cheap shop then to Aldi, must also go to the library.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks. It's a murky start to the day here and fairly chilly too. I'm still enjoying the luxury of my bed, getting in and out of is the painful challenge. Of course I was 'forced' out for a wee earlier so will make the most of getting back in.The shiny new dishwasher is here and installed. The JL delivery team were very good and gave me an overview of the controls. The front looks like the cockpit of a jet plane and I doubt that I'll use half of the programmes and certainly won't link it to my Wi-Fi. 😂The cutlery drawer is rather interesting, my stuff is too thick for it, I've had it all for over 15 years so need to think about replacing it or not. I dislike thin cutlery. Anyway, first world problem!I didn't really read yesterday, just skimmed through so apologies.Scarlet - lovely to have you back.Ruby - take things easy whilst enjoying your working day.Camelot - we have a number of wind farms here, all the companies give out significant sums to community projects of all types. There are pros and cons on both sides though sometimes needs must.Happy Tuesday to all. ❤️12

Morning everyone. Lovely and bright here. Washing on the line fluttering away. More garden tidying today, not arduous, more pottering about.
will go for another little bike ride later to keep my confidence up I think. No real plans at all, just the way I like it!
have a good day allCarolbee12 -
Morning Everyone - It's foggy/cold & damp here atm. I was going out with a friend, but we have decided to postpone our outing for another day.
Get well soon Gers.
Happy Tuesday all

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
The bolognaise bake was lovely and made 6 portions. DD stayed on for dinner and also took a portion back to her uni house. I froze the other 2 portions for work lunches. Tonight we are having steak, chips, peas and large flat mushrooms. A bit indulgent but cheaper than a meal out. We are going to the cinema later to see What's Love Got To Do With It - a romcom - should be a bit of fun.
I am sad about the milk cancellation but needs must. Might look into that system @ScarletRibbons - and how odd that someone used to steal your milk just on a Friday! Glad you're feeling brighter x
Our new DW also has many programmes @Gers. We just use the eco one. Only have it on every couple of days now it's just us.
WFH today and the garage have been to collect our car for it's MOT and service. We took it last Friday and they'd booked us in at another garage! Pup is here just for the day, washing is on the line in the chilly sunshine and I've had another Bay of E sale. I popped into a CS yesterday lunchtime when dropping off some parcels and got a BNWT Earth Squared tweed handbag and matching scarf for £6.50. That will also be sold off for my fundraising pot, although I'm tempted to keep it!
Enjoy your day out with your clients @RedRuby1231 x
Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning everyone what a hard frost we have nice and bright but they promised us milder temperatures NMLC I’m keeping everything crossed that work won’t be so bad for you next week Scarlet nice to have you back and your feeling a bit better take it easy Gers just finished a cleaning job I’m having a quick cuppa I feel like my feet haven’t touched the ground this morning I even took my vitamins at the house I clean at I found them in my pocket I can’t even remember tasting my breakfast I have porridge every morning but I kept having a spoonful and then remembered things I had to do and was jumping up and down to get them of course the hubby sits there quite peacefully saying you need to learn how to relax. Off to work in a minute there’s enough in to keep us going but we are not inundated yet maybe I shouldn’t have said that all the holiday cottage and B&B owners that are coming in are singing the praises of Robson Green they have ad a few bookings of people who have watched the programme he really has sold the north . I took my doormats in to work to wash yesterday make the most of it if we have a machine empty. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all. Doing a big bunch of nothing today, had breakfast, got dressed, that's a big enough win for today. Round Ohs mums tonight for tea, it will will toad in the hole, she's trying out a non-stick pan I gave her because all hers were sticking..Did you see the surreptitious decluttering I did there? She got herself a ninja thing last year and loves it so when I went to the post office yesterday, I saw a cookbook for it, so I got it for her to give it a go if she fancies. Got my sister a book too, gardening by Monety Don, she loves him, she really likes gardening, so win win. And it was super reduced so bargain. I may put some boots on a minute and do something more energetic, I have pots of spent compost to empty in the greenhouse, I left them over winter so the roots would rot, but I really need to mix that with some homemade to avoid buying more this year. Maybe I'll just stick it in a few bags out of the way for a bit. I don't think any of the geraniums are going to sprout again so that's another few pots that can be emptied on the front garden.Scarlet, glad you're better! iris, your meet ups sound like a great idea..Izzy, I'm the same, I start a cup of tea, or whatever, then think, I must do that now, and ten must-do-nows later, my tea goes in the microwave. I should really look at that programme, it sounds nice. Coxy, keep the handbag, you're allowed a treat too, not everything has to be altruism...Plus it's valentine's day so might as well
camlot, I love wind farms, I love watching them spin, I can do it for ages, they're so beautiful and useful. Ruby, enjoy your nice clients! Shout out to the missing, TA again, nanny, Nels, WL, mehefin, and everyone else I forgot...

Afternoon folks. Late to the party today but I tried to log in this morning and it locked me out for maintenance work! Did anybody else have this or did it just signal me out?!
I am just back from my usual Tuesday morning coffee and then lunch with BFF. We haven't met up for ages thanks to my ongoing lurgies which commandeered the most of January and into February. We celebrated meeting up again at last with a big plateful of fish and chips each. And she also presented me with a box of Turkish Delight as she knows they are my favourite! (Secretly I think she is trying to get the half stone I lost back on again!! I don't think it will take much doing as I am currently shovelling them in!!) We had an awful lot of catching up to do despite texting each other daily.
We started the day with a thick frost and minus 1 deg and coming up home just now it felt almost like summer with the sun shining and 11 deg! What a weather mix we are having this winter.
Enjoy the rest of the day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and MIA. Hope you are ok. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10
