Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast pork, lovely it was too, some LO's so that will make tonight's dinner.
Back to work today, we'll see what sort of week we have - next week is a big week big important stuff doing on so hoping that the management have got stuff sorted otherwise it'll be a nightmare.
Keep safe and well x

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc x Hope work goes okay.
I'm WFH today and DH is in Solihull. DD turned up unexpectedly yesterday and stayed over with a friend. Not sure what the plans are today but she doesn't have uni lectures or work, so expect she'll stay for tea as well! I'm doing a bolognaise bake tonight.
The garden clearance went well and DH had a bonfire last night to clear most of it. Only some decking left which was a bit too damp to burn. Now need to organise ordering some new trellis before the rose, clematis, honeysuckle, and winter jasmine start putting on growth!
I have made the sad decision to cancel the milkman order. We only had 3 pints of milk and 3 pints of juice a week and I find myself throwing milk away as we're not getting through it. We already pay a delivery charge each time as our order is so low. As much as I want to save the planet I just feel I can't justify £9.94/week. Today was the last order.
I have 3 bay of E parcels to go post today - charity funds are mounting up. One buyer got in touch to say the mug they purchased was smashed to smithereens on opening, so had to refund and now chasing Evri for a refund. Another claimed the parcel never arrived but can see Evri have delivered it. The trials and tribulations of selling online I guess. Most transactions are smooth sailing luckily.
Hope our poorlies are doing okay and wishing everyone a good day.

Morning everyone thanks for starting us off NMLC hope everything gets sorted at work for you I’m off to meet my friend for a coffee I’m not at work until 12 looking forward to a catch up. I’ve got a beetroot burger out for tonight I’ve never had them before I’m sure I will like them I like most things they have been in the freezer a couple of weeks they were reduced so I thought I would try them. We have woke up to a frost the forecast promised it would be warmer they tricked me Brrrr . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all
Cold and frosty here, having not had the heating on for weeks I have had to put it on this morning, I have a client coming ( should be 2 but one is off sick) and I can’t have her here shivering !We are going to meet another friend this morning for a walk around the lake and then get some lunch somewhere should be nice but we will have to wrap up warm.
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided will go and look in the freezer after this, I have tidied through this morning but will run the hoover round before my guest comes.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning folks. It's very misty and dank outside, what a contrast with yesterday. My drive home was lovely, clear roads and skies. My weekend with family was slightly tainted by my back problem but it was great to see them both together. Actually I slipped in the hotel bedroom (the dangers of socks on laminate floor and my wobbly walk) so I've not only pulled my right oblique but am also bruised. I reckon the worst of the pain will last three or four days.Yesterday my nephew's booked train was cancelled and today so has my niece's. Trains seem to be a shambles.
My new dishwasher is arriving between 12 noon and 2.00pm so I'll stay in bed a bit longer. I have to get into it on one side and out the other! It's almost funny. Once downstairs I have to give the DW space a quick sweep out though perhaps it won't be too quick. 😀
Im sending healing thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Monday to all.11 -
Morning all, it's a bit of a dull day here but dry atm.We had the usual weekend activities involving DGC football, a quick trip to Al di on Sat, and one to the hobby place so DH could get some spray acrylic paint. I bought a spatchcock rosemary/garlic chicken, which was nice for yesterday. Some left so I'll have that at lunchtime. I'd bought it thinking I'd do it in my N.grill but ended up putting the oven on as I also did the roasties & a plum/apple crumble, and some cookies. It warmed the house up at the same time!Gers ouch re the injuries but glad you enjoyed meeting DN & N. Hope the dishwasher arrives.Carolbee, your DNa story made me smile, both DH & I had ours tested & he has a similar amount of Swedish,& Icelandic area .Me, I'm 75% NW England with a smattering of Scottish /Irish
. DGS heard us talking about it and was very excited and now tells people he is of Viking blood
I might pop into town this morning and see what I can find for DH birthday next week, DS is working from home so he can see to pooch.Gammon joint out defrosting for tea.Hope you all have a good day x

Morning All
Hope your injuries soon heal Gers, no lugging that dishwasher about!
Well done on the weight loss Coxy, I've decided today is the day for some more healthy food (not so much that but less rubbish!)
Hope your day goes well Ruby, take care.
Bedding on the line and another load just about to finish, it's been dry for a couple of days which is a bit strange, as long as the washing dries quickly I'll be happy. Had a good couple of hours out in the garden yesterday planting some seeds and re-potting some house plants. Raked some moss from the grass too, will do some more today hopefully.
DD and the little one are coming over in a bit, we'll go to the park and have lunch here, may take the soft plastic recycling too as it's on the way.
Hope everyone's well, take care. XX10 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I was late waking this morning - probably because little one stayed on Saturday night and we were awake on and off from 4.30 as she had an accident.
Nice day yesterday - we went down to mam and dads in the morning and after lunch down to the 'park next to the sea' as she calls it. It's a great park with lots to play on so she had a lovely play and I had a surprise chat with an ex-colleague who now lives in Ireland but is home visiting her family. It was lovely to see her as I haven't seen her for a few years. DD picked us up and we had an M and S Indian at her house.
Good to see everyone else had nice weekends too.
Gers I hope you're feeling better soon.
Better go as I have a few jobs to do before I go to work x11 -
Morning! Cold and grey today so far. I'm venturing out to town today to find a post office being as the local one no longer exists. I need to send a card to Australia and while I'm in town, I'll see if I can get my hair cut. It's far too long, I'm beginning to look like an unkempt pony. I may or may not start in the garden, or do a verge or something this afternoon. I redid on compost bin this weekend and really need to do the othr as wel but we'll see. The garage will also be started this week. I still have a pile of things to go here and there and the back bedroom to tidy up a bit. I'm great at starting jobs but not that great at finishing them. Also need to go to the vets and boook them in for vaccinations and get flea stuff becuase fatty is rolling round on the floor again.Gers, hope your back is better soon, glad you had a nice weekend with added bacon sarnies [or breakfast...]
Coxy, well done at fc, evri have a terrible reputation but I've always had my parcels, maybe it's just different parts of the country. Rosy, I'm coming to yours for food, sounds lovely. the dna thing does throw up curveballs doesn't it? That's how I found out I have a polish grandfather, not a scottish one...My gran went up in ym estimation after that, it's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking my relatives were staid and boring when you only ever know them when they're old...I forget they were just humans and subject to the same foibles as anyone else. Plus, it's pretty cool. Shout out to the ones not feeling it, high five! Take care all...

Morning all.
nice and bright down here. Washing on line, and just going out to sort another border out in back garden.
might have a little foray on my bike too, I lose confidence if I don’t go regularly. I’ll just go round the block on our estate.
keep warm and safe allCarolbee11 -
