P55 RECLAIM - timeline from HMRC (For Info)

  • One thing I forgot to add was when checking the progress you go through a checklist.
    One of the questions was - did you claim online or via post.

    I claimed online and it came up with the original timeline of 3 weeks - i.e. 24 August.

    For curiosity I ticked 'via post' and it added 2 months to the response! - i.e. 24 October

    I guess in ALL instances when dealing with HMRC - the best advice is to get online via the Government Gateway

    Interestingly the only real answer I had from them was when I spoke to someone who was working from home, same when I spoke to BG too.  It would seem that those who can do & those who can't go in the office.
