A basic cordless phone..

My elderly mother struggles with technology - as do I!  She needs a basic cordless phone so she can make and receive calls.  If it could also store her ten most used numbers, that would be great (and a speaker phone feature would be a bonus.  But that's all.  Why is it so hard to find such a phone out there?  Surely there must be lots and lots of people like her - and me - who just want to be able to keep in touch with friends and loved ones without needing to consult a user's manual to use their phone.
