Hi I went bankrupt approx 19 years ago , but yesterday I realised a letter from.capquest saying I owe £1164 . 64 . I worried a bit as I haven't had any debt since my bankruptcy. So I phoned them up today and it was from the year 1999 . 25 years ago . Shop direct . Anyway he said if I could prove my bankrupt then he cold see what he cold do . But just got in from work and looked for all my papers and I'm sure I've thrown them away ? I mean it was 19 years ago . I don't usually harbour stuff that long . Is there anyway I can find out now about my bankruptcy records ?? Thank you

The debt was covered by your bankruptcy, and even if it hadn`t been, it went statute barred donkeys years ago.
You don`t have to prove anything, never ring debt collectors either.

Shop direct from the 1990s? They probably never got a signed agreement in the first place, apart from it being statute barred and covered by bankruptcy.
That's the least valid debt you could possibly have. If they phone again just keep laughing until they hang up.4
