Good morning thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work is not too bad.Seems fine here, but cold, yesterday the wind was enough it cut you in two, bitter.Iris, hope you enjoyed your day out yesterday.Belated Happy Birthday to Snoozer's Steve - hope he will be feeling better soon.Did I read that you are now a member of the Golf Club Rosy? !We went to a funeral yesterday, a lady who lived further up our road, she has been ill for a long time. She and her husband walked their dog regularly on the little park opposite us, and we became quitfriendly with them.. We just went to the crematorium, didn't go to the "do" afterwards. Our neighbour came with us.After the funeral DH dropped me at the hospital to meet a friend, she'd asked me to attend an appointment with her, as another pair of ears, if you see what I mean.By the time I got home it was 3.30 and I was starving, having had no lunch, though it won't hurt me to go without a meal now and then.Nowt much going on today I don't think, just the usual jobs.Thinking of our poorly people, and stay safe and warm today folks.12

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x I hope you get some resolution at work.
WFH today thank the Lord. I will make chilli con carne in the SC as have a few meetings plus we are out at the cinema tonight to see The Whale.
I have sold another couple of items on Bay of E for my charity fundraising, so will get those packaged up and posted off today. There's a lights load to wash so will get that outside for a blow as well.
Get well vibes to all our poorlies and hope everyone has a good day.

Morning folks - thanks for starting us off nmlc.I've been lying in bed watching the moon moving past my window until it's no longer there. Now I'll have to start my day.The forecasted horrendous weather for yesterday really didn't happen. High winds weren't too high and we only had about 90 minutes of stormy rain. I went out when my cleaner came, took my rubbish away and bought milk. My lunch was prepped so only had to microwave my veggies and boil a couple of eggs to add in.In the early evening my plumber neighbour came back to disconnect the DW and drain it. He also vacuumed and cleaned the floor where it had sat. What a kindness that was.Today I have no plans so I'll decide on the hoof. 😄 I'm sending out healing vibes. Happy Thursday to all.11

Morning All
Very high wind for a couple of hours last night with some rain but thankfully it's all calm this morning. Bin day and a coal delivery so the side gate is open, it's quite chilly out this morning.
I took a friend's dog for a walk yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, so good to have fresh air and a good stretch of my legs, will do the same today. Feel like I'm getting a bit of energy back.
I had another walk down to the Doctor's surgery yesterday afternoon, they had lost my fit note (both hard copy and a digital copy) so decided to go and pick it up before they lost it again!
Enjoy the cinema Coxy.
Sorry you had to attend a funeral Scarlet.
Anyone seen Nanny?
Hope you're on the mend TA.
Missing you Nelski!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning! The wood came, just as OH was leaving for work so I stacked it all very slowly. My 72 year old neighnour came out to ask if I wanted a hand which was very nice of him, I refused though. Don't know why, he was up a ladder a couple of weeks ago trimming a tree
I should have said yes..Saw a few other neighbours who stopped to chat. I did chat, but I was wishing them away fast, it was so cold when I wasn't moving...I'm getting my nails done this monring, then back to stack the car, the living room will be super empty when that's done, the cats will be happy, there'll be room to play with them again. Then lunch at friends, then charity place to drop off. I'll book a tip visit after as wel. The recycling people didn't take the extra two boxes of cardboard I put out which I'm miffed about so they have to go as well as a wooden table thing that was in the porch. And some other bits and pieces.
Scarlet, that was nice of you. I will have to do the same with OH next time, I forget what they tell me. Coxy, enjoy the Whale. I really like Brendan Fraser. Gers, you are blessed with lovely neighbours there aren't you? dp1, lovely to hear stories like that, I used to enjoy it when my mother did the same. I should have videod her or at least recorded it. TA, hope you're getitng better. Hugs to the not feeling well, rest up....Take care all.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -
Hi everyone,
Well, the appointment was great, it was for 7.30 and I walked out of the treatment room at 7.31, I didn't even have time to sit down in the waiting room when I arrived. I have to wait a week to ring the GP for the results but she did say that she didn't see anything alarming on a first look so hopefully a review of the photos she took won't show anything either.
Steve seems a bit better today, he slept all night and the deep hacking cough is better. The Dr has prescribed another course of antibiotics though so hopefully that will really see it gone. He had a very quiet birthday but Esben enjoyed the cake.
Cleaner here today, but I am off to Cambridge for an appointment so better get on.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning all
Feels very cold here but no frost that I can see, I am off to collect my private client today and take him to work, I will see how I get on and how tired it makes me although he is no trouble at all, I won’t be doing anything too heavy either !
Meeting went well yesterday but news of the young lad was not good, he has become very violent and punched another carer in the eye he has also been violent towards his mum several times, mum has decided it’s time for him to move out and live in a group home which I think will do him the world of good with regular meals and boundaries ! Unfortunately I have had to say I can’t have him back while he is being violent as I can’t risk being punched in the tummy or him hitting my other client, as I am here on my own with them I just can’t risk it .
Cottage pie for dinner tonight with sprouts and green beans should warm us up when we get in.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone
Really enjoyed Empire of Light yesterday - there were only about 20 people there so a very easy job to scan the tickets. I like Olivia Coleman - eldest DD says I watch anything if she's in it. The lady who I was stewarding with gave me a lift home afterwards, which was really kind as she lives in the opposite direction.
Today I've got work at lunchtime and then have an appointment with a neuropsychologist to test how long covid has affected my brain...by 3.30 in the afternoon my brain seems to have stopped working and my energy is down to zero so I suppose it's a good time t o go!
Well I have a few jobs to do so I'm going to get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another lovely bright day for us, sun and no wind! Yesterday was really lovely in the sunshine. A taste of what's to come!
I finally ventured out yesterday after 13 days stuck indoors. I had a little bus trip with DF and her DH ran us into town to catch the bus onwards in case I collapsed on our way to the bus stop up here!! As the thought of it put me in mind of climbing the north face of the Eiger I was grateful for the lift. We only did a bit of gentle traipsing but I was worn out when I got back home and slept all evening on the sofa, went to bed and slept again until 6.30 this morning! I think the fresh air must have knocked me out.
So today will be a much lazier day but I really must give the kitchen and bathroom a bit of a clean. Everywhere has been badly neglected throughout the bug's presence!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or just fed up. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all, cold & frosty again this morning.Gers the moon was so big and bright just after 6 this am, it was like a light was shining in!Scarlet, yes you read right, apparently the council have insisted that people who use the cafe/bar have to be members of the golf club. However there is no chance you will ever find me on the actual golf course
Still if it gets me 10% off the bill who am I to complain and it is quite handy.
Taff just reading your to do list makes me tiredCamelot, glad you enjoyed your dog walk and are feeling better.Coxy well done on the charity sales. No special plans today. I might tidy the garden as it's nice, we look to have lost a few things due to the earlier cold spell. Better wrap up well though.Thai chicken tonight, the chicken breasts are ready marinated from the butchers so it's a quick make with the addition of coconut milk.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
