SSP Hiliday pay and notice

Options
I have been signed off for 2 months and just had anothrf 4 weeks confirmed.

Basically it is as a result of an auto immune disorder.  My medication has rendered my immune sytem ineffective.  As a resilt of no adjustments mafe by my employer i have had to seek anither job whereby i work remotely.

My quextion is this:

i am entitled ti 5.5 days holiday.  As i am signed off until my leave date does my employer have to pay the holiday entitlement on top of thr SSP or do i have to take the holiday to secure payment.

Thanks

You cannot lose your statutory holiday (28 days a year if full time) as a result of being off sick. If you get any contractual holiday over and above the 28 days it is possible you may lose that depending on your company's rules.

Normally you would just get your sick pay and your holiday would remain for you to take, by arrangement, after your return to work. However your employer may be agreeable to treating it differently so ask them if your prefer.
