Morning folks.
It's a chilly start, off to brew a coffee.

Got coffee. Put the electric blanket on. Cold toes getting warmer. It's icy outside again though should thaw out soon. Yesterday I had a lovely time with Camelot and breakfast. The drive down was much faster than usual, not much traffic on the road, and a great way to watch dawn creeping over the hills. Then I did my two chores, collected my JL orders from Waitrose, bought a ton of veggies and was home by 2.30'ish. Coming back was much slower but I wasn't in a hurry so didn't get too frustrated with a driver in front who braked every time another car drove past in the opposite direction or when a small deviation in the road appeared, like a curve! 😀Once I'd eaten lunch I decided to prep the veggies into daily bags, great idea but I soon became bored 😂 so only did two lots before deciding to watch the Hitchcock film instead.Today I'll finish off veg prepping, I promise. Then there's the washing to put away, I'll do that before going downstairs.Hugs to our poorlies. Ruby - great to read that you've been out walking 👍 Happy Sunday to all.9

Morning everyoneTea, toast and match of the day on catchup. A good start to Sunday. Better get dressed soon as I have a Tesco delivery between 9-10, app is saying 9.30-10 at the mo. Have some towels to put on the line but I might give them 10 minutes in the tumble dryer and hang them upstairs as I don't think they'll dry outside today. Spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.Well done to Redruby's daughterHave a lovely day all and hope the poorlies are on the mend.9

Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - coffee in a warm bed sounds fab x
Well done to @RedRuby1231's DD on the new role - really good news x
Today we will spend some time tidying up in the garden. It's sunny but chilly. A wash has just finished so I'll get that out for a freshen up. Dinner is another new SW recipe of Derry Stew. Will pop that in the SC so it can cook whilst we chop!
Hugs to our poorlies including @TravellingAbuela and @Nelski and sending thoughts to our missing people xx

Morning All
Bright this morning, apparently the sun is to make an appearance so the bedding is in the WM, hope it doesn't let me down as I've washed the mattress protector too.
Some housework to do today, it's been a bit neglected this week, bathrooms to clean and a good hoover round should do.
Hope you all have a restful and peaceful Sunday, take care. XX9 -
Morning all. Move complete. Out for fab steakhouse dinner last night, and to breakfast before heading home from the big city to the seaside. It’s a different world for sure!
keep safe all and have a great dayCarolbee8 -
Morning everyone
I didn't get on yesterday as I had little one for some of the day and then my book won the battle of book V laptop!
We went into town yesterday morning on the bus with baby Annabel in her pram who was much admired...Little one said to one lady on the bus 'she's not actually real you know' after she said 'hello baby'! We went to the library where little one chose a huge pile of books which I then reduced down to 6 and did some colouring.
In the afternoon DD took us up to the new Home Bargains shop - which is huge with a bakery, clothes section, freezers and lots of toys! DD ran with little one in the trolley down the aisles of toys so she couldn't say she wanted anything! We did well in just buying her a pair of swimming goggles and a colouring book. Half the town seemed to be in the shop so it would have a very profitable first day though whether it's so busy after the novelty wears off remains to be seen. I think a lot of people will be like me and miss popping into the old store when they've 10 minutes to wait for their bus. Anyways we rounded up our afternoon with a trip to Costa which was very nice....then I came home to read my book.
This morning I'm going down the hill to sit with dad while mam goes to church and then I'll go to DDs for tea later - with a nice read of my Sunday Times in between.
Redruby - congratulations to your DD
Snoozer - I hope you manage to get a bit of quiet time
My eldest DD is in Stockholm this weekend, visiting friends she used to work with - she's just texted to say shes having a great time.
Well I'd better move - hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning everyone nice to hear you met up with Camelot Gers and had a good catch up it’s chilly here but bright chicken dinner today a couple of dog walks clean the kitchen floor later and that’s about it . Carolbee pleased you enjoyed your meal out after the move I like to get back to my own little world as well a slower pace of life suits me big cities are nice to visit occasionally. Coxy you always make lovely food it’s wasted in this house I will eat anything but the hubby is the worlds plainest eater I get to eat different on a weekend but through the week I can’t be bothered with the fuss of making different meals . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Hi everyone,
Well done, RR's DD.
carolbee, well done to you too, London is a different world, Laura and Brian love it but I couldn't live there.
Yesterday was a bit of a washout, we are still a house of plague so everyone is still coughing apart from me. Even Esther is coughing but seems quite well. It's been well over a week now so I don't think anyone can be contagious (it's not covid) anymore.
I ended up going out to a garden centre for a cup of tea and piece of cake in the afternoon, I just needed to get away from everyone. It's at times like those I regret not having a close friend nearby I can call on to have a natter.
I made sweet and sour chicken for dinner with fried rice and broccoli and cashews, it's a bit of a faff but very tasty and one of Laura's absolute faves. I've really gone off takeaway from the Chinese and much prefer to make my own.
We're going out to lunch to celebrate Steve's upcoming birthday, I just hope that no-one coughs too much. I've had to pay a £90 deposit because I had to book places for the 3 littlies although none of them will be eating so I really don't want to cancel it.
Have a good day.8
