Hopeless Capita!

Just start receiving my Royal Mail NRA65 pension. It consists of 8 years of which the first two years are now administered by Capita along with all my RM NRA60 pension. And the other 6 years are still with the original RM administration in Sheffield. They dealt with their side of the options paperwork smoothly and got my first months pension and lump sum on time. Never got any confirmation paperwork from Capita after I sent back their options forms in December. And if this had to be chased up to even get it. Since them no sign of their bit of pension, no paperwork and no replies to any emails. When I eventually got through on the phone the guy seemed to have no idea apart from saying they were slow and running behind!
Ever since the Government chose Capita to handle the bulk of the RM DB pension it has been a nightmare! But when they chose them it was because they had the cheapest tender!

Or they could have just stayed with the in-house Royal Mail Pensions Service Centre(PSC) and prevented a lot of bother for the members.
What we've got is a complete shambles, especially as both Capita and the PSC deal with the same elements of RM pensions.
The RM DB scheme is split 2 ways: NRA60 is for service up to 2010 and NRA65 for afterwards.
But Capita are in charge of everything up to 2012(the RM Statutory Pension Scheme), with the PSC from then onwards(RM Pension Plan).
It's resulted in many members receiving their pensions later than their NRA's!
I believe the RMSPS contract is up for renewal in 2024. As a RM employee, I'm hoping the Cabinet Office give it back to the PSC.FIRE !!!1 -
I'm having trouble locating my RM pension, had just over 3 years service, they tell me it was withdrawn in 2009 and refunds would have been in my final pay, but I left in 2000.
Capita now in charge of pensions.0
