Comparison of FIT statements

Options
My FIT is with good energy who do not provide the rate I get or any yearly increase information. I was wondering what info others receive with there FIT providers.

Our FIT is still with Scottish Power (though they've not been selling us power for nearly ten years now.  They tend to take 2 to 3 weeks from date of claim to payment but then supply a clear statement of how may units we've generated, payment per unit, how many units we're deemed to have exported (half gen of course) , payment per unit  and show subtotals and grand total.

Thanks for your reply Eric, good energy do not pay until 90 days have elapsed, from what I’ve read about other fit providers good energy seem to be the slowest to pay, not very happy and thinking about changing fit providers.
  • I've been with SSE for the last 8-9 years.  They always paid within a week of me submitting the reading.  There was a blip during the acquisition by OVO where it stretched to 3 months but they're back to paying within a week now.

I get a detailed mailed statement detailing how much and at what rate, generally within the week of me submitting a reading and getting paid.

Ecotricity are similar - reading submitted by 31 December, statement received by 31 January, payment by 28 February. It's not a massive issue but it would be preferable to receive it faster.
  • I'm with Good Energy for my FIT and although I agree they're slow the email statement I get does include the rate they're paying.

Agree with you Paul, that’s interesting silver w , I rang good energy to find out the rate and suggested they include it on the statements and app and was told it would be passed on as a suggestion. Can you see the rate on the app or paper statements, it’s only recently that we started receiving any information at all, unless it’s put on when requested .The lady I spoke to didn’t have much clue about anything to be honest.
  • On the paper statement: let me go have a look...Whoops, missed sending my December reading with all I had on..

The first page of the emails I receive give a summary of my next payment and reading and payment dates; the second page gives two lines 1 for Generation and one for Deemed Export giving:
    Start date/start Read/End date/End read Quantity (kWh)/Tariff rate (£/kWh)/Value

When rates change there may be 2 lines as above for each rate.
