Wait for new Virgin deal

Hi, we have had an offer accepted on a house and also selling ours, hopefully 28th April will be the move date.
Our virgin deal recently ended and has increased in price. We have a mortgage in principle with a mortgage advisor and are currently gathering all our information needed to apply for a mortgage in full.. Should we hold off negotiating a new Virgin deal until this is sorted. Not sure if it will affect the mortgage offer. Thanks

Edit: what I mean is, would a new deal put a footprint on my credit file that might affect a deal.0

You can switch products with virgin, there are no credit checks carried out (my mortgage is with virgin and I did this 10 months ago).
But, if you are looking at moving house and you tie into a new deal, you are stuck with virgin as your new lender. What happens if they reject the porting of the mortgage? You are going to have to pay the early repayment charges or you are stuck where you are.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
