Have been trying to get my pension from Phoenix Life for 4 months. I am ill and need to retire. Am getting nowhere with them. They don't do anything you ask for. Can somebody please help me?

I had an issue with getting a pension retirement quote from Phoenix Life. Although I was getting correspondence regularly including yearly statements, I had to contact another company (Aon) to get Phoenix Life to send my pension quote, which they did within a week. I found Aon's details on my yearly AVC statement.

This is because your plan was not a retail pension product but an occupational pension product controlled by the employer's administrator.   Phoenix don't control the administration on those plans.  The professional administrator does.       

Every time someone contacts Phoenix (or any other provider with a similar set-up) the insurer forwards that communication to the administrator to deal with.
