Most people are just wishing people good luck or complimenting the giveaway.

Gamertag = Your account name on Xbox or Microsoft usually registered with your Outlook email.
Gamerscore = Most games will have Achievements, which can be anything from playing a game for a certain amount of time to finding an object or completing a task in the game. It is just extra tasks or incentives to keep playing a game, some people don't pay attention to them and just enjoy the game, others aim to completing the special tasks. Each achievement has a score for completing it, some are 1 or 5, others can be 100 gamerscore points. I think most games had/have 1000g to collect overall.
