First time buyer - will Santander do another credit check?

Hi. I'm a first time buyer due to complete in a few days after exchanging contracts on a new build back in September. Is my lender (Santander) likely to do another credit check before releasing the funds? I've seen conflicting information, some say lenders do every time and others that they will only if a change has beenade to the application.
My concern being that since I have bought some furniture in preparation for the move and used credit in order to do so and now starting to panic
Thanks in advance
