Savings to clear mortgage

I currently have an outstanding balance in my variable mortgage of approximately 24k with an interest rate currently at 5.5%. I also have a stocks and shares ISA with a balance of 40k. Would I be better withdrawing funds from my ISA to clear off my mortgage whilst the current interest rate is high or am I better just leaving things as they are? The balance on the ISA fluctuates due to market conditions.
