Title deeds?

Does Ordering  a standard title deeds show the latest outstanding mortgage on the property? Or not?

    The charges register shows the lenders who have the property as security for loans.

  • It won't show the balance that's remaining on the mortgage that is owed to the bank/provider though - you need to ask the bank itself for that information.

  • By 'Title Deeds' we assume you are referring to the Lad Registry Title document? This has 3 parts:

    A Property Register (defines the land)
    B Proprietorship Register (ownership)
    C Charges Register (mortgages and other charges)

    The mortgage lender will be named in C, but the amount owed will change on a monthly (daily?) basis so naturally the LR cannot update it!
