Employment checks

My neighbour served party wall injection order against my building extension works.
Would like to know if this impacts my employment background checks as i got new job offer.

  • It will depend on the nature of the case against you and the nature of the pre-employment checks, you will need too provide more details.

I've worked in pre-employment checking services in health and social care and have never seen a civil case appear on standard-level employment checks (they don't appear on standard or enhanced DBS). I don't have too many dealings with Financial services or security level checks (CTC or higher) these would be the kind of checks (if any) that a civil case would appear on.

We have done the building works which are not covered in Party wall award. We have paid for damages and now it is concluded with judgement.

Providing you have paid any amounts you were ordered to in the judgement I would have though it would be very unlikely to bother the new employer.

However it is up to them. If they don't want to employ somebody who has been involved in a court case with their neighbour (regardless of who was right or wrong) that is their privilege.

    Thanks Undervalued .

The judgements of the civil cases will be added to the credit files? are these considered as CCJ?

As I understand it, only if you fail to pay what the court ordered by the due date.
