Travel insurance against failure of bus to airport

Hello, wondering if the insurance I want/need is available anywhere.
The bus to my nearest airport (2 hours away) is operated by a company with a poor reputation for reliability. I plan to travel on a rail strike day so really do not have an alternative. I would like an insurance policy that would, in the event that the bus fails to turn up, cover a taxi so that I can still catch my 'plane.
Is this an insurable risk? The travel policies that I have looked at cover this kind of failure ONLY if the bus fails because of a road traffic accident or mechanical breakdown, and in the kind of situation I fear I would not know the reason for the bus not turning up.

If this was me and I knew the bus company wasn't reliable I would be going to the airport the day before and staying in a nearby hotel or paying for a taxi to take me. Alternatively, do any family members drive that could take you in return for you filling up their fuel tank?
I haven't come across insurance that covers a bus not turning up specifically so you may have to speak directly to insurers. Although I am sure they will take a dim view of you using a bus company that has poor reputation then claiming on the insurance.
Insurance is also for last resort so they may expect you to try and claim the taxi fare from the bus company first.FTB - April 20202 -

How frequent is the bus? What time is your flight?
I'd certainly be looking to arrive exceptionally early or the day before to give multiple buses0 -
Our insurance covers us for missed departure. Had to use it once when an accident on the motorway meant we missed our flight.
We do a lot of plane hopping buying tickets from multiple airlines so I always insist on my insurance covering missed connection as well. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
