i made a good sized batch this morning and my oven (with whom i am on a very limited acquaintance) overbaked one tray and they are a bit dry.
Is there anything I can do to save them?

Not sure about if there is a way to save them, but maybe you could repurpose them as a dessert & serve with maybe cooked mixed berries & evaporated milk or pouring cream 🤔3

I'd turn it into pudding, serve with hot custard and raisins/berry fruits.

you arent going to save them as a scone Im afraid
Id halve then, drizzle with a bit of alcohol of choice, then layer up. Perhaps jam and ice cream if cooking skills are non existent , or adding stewed fruit and a meringue , add them to a berry compote. Or just butter then and shallow fry, when yummy and gorgeous, throw on a tin of fruit and custard ? ice creamCream, ice cream and custard hide everything3 -
Split / toast lightly / add butter.Be kind to others and to yourself too.1

I agree with Yorkslass that toasted scones are lovely. Having said that I have eaten dry or even stale scones many times after warming them for 15 seconds in the microwave....they become warm and soft and gorgeous.2
