  • Yeah - that isn't great but generally how would the person running it know? I enter quite a few but just use an old hotmail with my name and numbers at the front. They don't know what else I enter!

Haha I saw this tweet too. Thing is.. When I first started comping about 7ish years ago, mine was obviously a comping email and I still won a fair bit.. but I later thought that maybe my entries would get skipped if they knew I was a comper so I setup a new email address which is clearly a 'normal' email address and i've won less. I keep all my WEM's and on my old email I have 94 emails from Oct 2015 - Dec 2020.. and my newer email I've only got 10 from Dec 2020 to now... might switch back!!

This annoys me, not because my time and effort is wasted, although that is frustrating.
But because I share and enter competitions and I've often bought things regularly after trying a prize and I appreciate every prize.
I only enter for what I can use or gift to family/friends.
I've also left reviews because of winning a competition, which I would hope helps a company's business.
It also goes against the gambling laws and most terms and conditions - yes they say they can refuse or retract prizes where needed, but because they enter a lot of competitions, shouldn't be a valid reason.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

I once won a competition for a package to see a band. The rep from the company told me they'd checked my facebook to see if I was a fan, or as they put it 'someone who enters everything'. So this definitely goes on. I suppose they mean well?

This type of post is nothing new, over the years quite a few of this sort of thing has been posted in chat before and basically they are best left to stew in their own juices.
  • Yeh, I saw a few posts on socials saying that they don't give prizes to accounts which exist only to enter comps. TBH I think my social media accounts probably look like this because of low activity and anonymity. But I do uses them, I just lurk but don't post much that's all :D
    Good luck everyone ❤️
