  • It might be worth pointing out to your manager that even if they say that the t&cs of the 2018 contract are “invalid” both you and your employer have been working to them for almost 5 years now and as such, you would at worst have implied t&cs as a consequence. It’s difficult to comprehend that with the passage of such an amount of time, your agreement to their contract is now invalid. If you are in a trade union, they will be all over this like a rash. Stick to your guns, as far as I can see you are extremely solid ground if you are looking to maintain your position.

  • If as is possible they refute your assertion that you have at least protection by way of implied t&cs, ask for their reasoning in writing and accept nothing less. Then, watch them squirm!
