It might be worth pointing out to your manager that even if they say that the t&cs of the 2018 contract are “invalid” both you and your employer have been working to them for almost 5 years now and as such, you would at worst have implied t&cs as a consequence. It’s difficult to comprehend that with the passage of such an amount of time, your agreement to their contract is now invalid. If you are in a trade union, they will be all over this like a rash. Stick to your guns, as far as I can see you are extremely solid ground if you are looking to maintain your position.0

If as is possible they refute your assertion that you have at least protection by way of implied t&cs, ask for their reasoning in writing and accept nothing less. Then, watch them squirm!0
