If T&C of original contract changes significantly, then either party can quit without any penalty. Just because they are saying you have to pay £600 exit fee does not mean you indeed have to pay. If fees go up by 3 times, then it is a significant change and you can terminate the contract. Just stick firm on your ground.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.1

Before we get too sidetracked, the consumer v business thing is just for potential additional protections, but even just as a business, you still have the rights / obligations in the contract / T&Cs you already have.
- Any clauses on future price increases?
- Any clauses on the contract length or how it renews?
- Any clauses on how they can terminate?
Highly dependent on the above questions, but if you have a contract for however long the current tenant is in place with no fee increase clauses, then you can remain on that. If you have an annual contract that they no longer want to offer, then you may not be able to insist on keeping the current price, but should be able to go your separate ways. If0 -
I had a similar email/calls from PB. They didn't apply any increase until this month when the charge has gone from £42 to £81!!
And the service is still terrible 😞0
