Good Broker for Umbrella Employee/Contractor Remortgage?

Hi,

I am a contractor working via an umbrella company (inside IR35, I receive normal payslips showing tax etc.) and need to remortgage this year.

Could anyone recommend a broker that can help please?

I've heard that some lenders won't entertain umbrella employees and so it's best to speak to a broker.

Thanks!

Quite often, the Umbrella Companies have companies they know and can provide an introduction.  That is worth enquiring.

There is one specific company that I have seen several times who claim to understand this type of contract employment.  I am hesitant to name them as I have never used them.

Any mortgage broker worth their money should be able to find out which lenders have less strict eligibility criteria for contractors.

More often than not you can also find the information yourself. For example, as a contractor I had a pretty good idea that Nationwide would be a good fit for my mortgage just by looking at the information on this site.
