Hi 

is there any credit impact by doing a MIP ? also if i do one alone for example today, then next week i want to do a joint one with my partner will the one i have done alone have any impact on the joint one a week later ?

Unlikely but potentially. 
Some lenders do hard footprint credit checks, most dont though. 

It might be worth just checking beforehand.

There was a thread the other day that mentioned if you are declined on a joint mortgage application (rather than DIP) the bank concerned won’t then except a solo application from either applicant in the same property.

Is this a first purchase, if so I would highly recommend getting a local broker as our one seriously helped clear the waters on our first purchase.
