Making Jam in a Microwave

I've had a quick 'race' through this thread and wonder how big the cooking bowl needs to be. I'd hate to lose any of the contents by it frothing over the top.
...... sorry if I've missed this somewhere above.0 -
I toohave had a glut of plums this year. The plums are small and dark and very difficult to stone. My method is as follows.Place plums in a large glass bowl in the microwave and microwave on high for about 10 minutes..Leave to cool then take the stones out. Now weigh the plums, add an equal amout of common or garden granulated sugar( Tesco has 2Kg bags for £1.22) I usually do about 11/2 lbs at a time.Put the bowl back in microwave warm for about 5 minutes add the sugar stir well and continue on high for about 5-6 minutes. The mixture will become translucent..test for setting after a few batches you will be able to gauge it.Pour into sterile jars (boil jars in large saucepan boiling water for about 10 min) Cover with circle of waxed paper(the bags inside cereal boxes are just the job) then put lid on.No pectin is required for plums. I am just finishing off last year's jam and have made 21 jars so far in the past couple of weeks..have run out of jars and freezer space and would welcome instructions on bottling.0

The links do not work except for the gooseberry curd. Would love to try making diabetic jam in the microwave. Any ideas?Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you can't get more time0
