The compications of Luxpower monitor and app

I have just had a system installed (22 panels, 2 x batteries and an invertor) all seems to be working well but as I don't understand the Luxpower front end fully I can never be sure. For example as I am running on Octopus agility juice I was surprised to find that the EV was only partially charged last night whilst the batteries were full. My question is whether there is a handbook which not only explains which switch does what, but also the strategy to use when trying to balance car, house, batteries, grid, and peak load.
