Does investing affects mortgage application?

    I should have been clearer - of course it is an outgoing - but that doesn't mean, as you claimed, investing (or pension payments) will affect affordability. 

    As I said many lenders will ignore pension contributions as they are not a fixed outgoing, and I can't see why any other investment wouldn't be the same.
