Remortgaging whilst on gardening leave

Hi all.

Looking for some advice.

My fixed deal is due to end at the end of April. I have just resigned from my current job and have been placed on Garden leave until the beginning of February, I will then start with my new employer (no probationary period)

My partner is due to go onto maternity leave in March - are these likely to prevent me from remortgaging?

Thanks in advance

  • Maternity leave most definitely, garden leave I wouldn't think so. You are still employed until you go to your new job. The only problem you might face is you haven't been at the newv place long enough.

That being said, you can just product switch and they don't check anything at all.
