Evri and Yodel have redefined the old children's game of 'knock and run'. I am fed of of drying out deliveries from these companies. I would love to know how many parcel get stolen from doorsteps. There are probably crooks following these couriers around and just hoovering up parcels left on doorsteps, or in my case on the garden path. Do Evri have an eBay presence where they sell off all the parcels that they don't deliver??? I wonder.
With more of us shopping online, parcel delivery firms are playing an increasingly important role in many people's lives – and of course they've been under intense pressure lately, particularly in the run-up to Christmas. So it's time for our 10th annual poll to check how couriers are doing, and to find out which have been really delivering...

Never had a problem with Evri, especially when sending stuff back to Amazon. Parcel shop 100 mtrs from my house with a QR code scanner. Scan code, print ticket, drop into box, get receipt refund back into my Amazon account within 2 hours
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
Whilst I agree from personal experience that Evri are the worst (ordered 30/11 - got parcel 9/1) as a buisiness owner who uses DPD every day they have got worse and worse over the last year. Damaged parcels, no pickup (which means we can lose money if it was a No Fail delivery date) and still charging a 15% Fuel Surcharge months after the fuel prices have dropped significantly. We've used them for over 10 years (as Interlink initially) and they were great - not any more!
Our local Evri driver is marvellous, he always goes the extra mile.
When he delivered a parcel to me early in January I asked about a few parcels I was expecting. He said he had taken two days off over Christmas, and he was upset to find Evri hadn't covered his round. He said he suspected my parcels were lost in the system. They did turn up the following Sunday with a new trainee, so at least they have been recruiting.

I'll let the images do the talking....
I prefer buying from Amazon but credit where credits due to Evri this time.
