HTB mortgage repayment admin query

Good morning all,
I’m looking at how to pay off the government equity stake in my HTB mortgage.
I’m thinking of either paying off the full government share (20%) or remortgaging it such that the new mortgage absorbs the government share.
What documents do I need to provide for either options? I remember it was abit of a faff with the mortgage advisor wanting to see all aspects of my bank details going back 12 months and questioning my car payments and who sent me £500 when I sold my used laptop etc.
can I simply just pay the HTB housing administrator? I know I need a RICS valuation done, but if I need to get all my paperwork in order I’d rather prepare now.

FC

If you are paying off in cash it is just the legal work.
