How long does a self assessment refund take to come through from HMRC?

If you generate a refund via Self assessment on the website, does anyone know the certain length of time for refunds to process from the HMRC?

It can vary by a lot I think and they can miss so you chase
Best bet give the SA people a call they answer the phone very quickly and we rang them a couple of times and answered the calls within seconds - they close at 8pm and even open Sats I think. They will see your returns etc and be able to give you up to date info

I'm assuming you completed a SA?

I submitted my tax return 10th December and received the tax refund Wednesday 21st December, so that's about 10 days.

The processing time might vary depending upon volume of SA's received.
